Our homes are perfect if you are seeking comfort and serenity in the heart of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Nestled amidst beautiful surroundings, our meticulously renovated cottages offer a perfect retreat with top-quality amenities and thoughtful design. Experience the seamless blend of old homes and cool vibes as you indulge in contemporary comforts.
Our cottages are contained in a side-by-side duplex from the 1920’s that we have completely renovated while allowing a lot of the original charm to remain. Located in a quiet neighborhood in St. Paul, each side has a different vibe that we loved designing. One side contains a mix of luxurious furniture from Room & Board and West Elm, with Mid-Century Modern flashes in each room – rounded out with rich tones in the black and white kitchen, the gothic pendant lamp and champagne pink plush chairs in the dining room and local Minnesota artist paintings and prints throughout.
Our other cottage was inspired by Joshua Tree dessert tones and Slim Aarons photography. You’ll find a modern beige couch adorned with bright blue and yellow pillows, deep chocolate finished red oak floors, a rattan pendant lamp above the groovy glass dining table, and a completely renovated bathroom with beautiful polished ceramic aqua tiles. Throw in some brass fixtures and exceptionally comfortable beds, and you’ll be transformed to a peaceful oasis in a perfect location near the best of St. Paul.
Each apartment has an array of coffee brewing methods, be it a drip machine or a large stainless steel French press, with coffee beans and tea options at the coffee station. Unwind in the living areas on a comfortable couch, immerse yourself in entertainment on the large screen Smart TVs or lose yourself in a captivating book under the gentle glow of modern Italian or Sputnik lamps. Both cottages have high end and exceptionally comfortable beds and linens. We get asked about where we got the mattresses all the time! We’re happy to share!! With your ultimate convenience in mind, we have strategically chosen locations that are close to everything you need and want. You won’t lack for comfort and calm in our cottages in the heart of the Mac-Groveland /Hamline area. Indulge in cool and delicious breweries, cafes, and restaurants such as Rose Patisserie, The Naughty Greek, Magic Noodle, Everest on Grand, Hyacinth, Keg and Case, and many other fantastic food choices all nearby. If you’re in the mood for cooking in our renovated kitchens, Whole Foods is 3 ½ blocks away (an 8 minute walk).
These cottages are also near five universities: Macalester, Concordia, Hamline, University of St. Thomas, and St. Catherine University. The University of Minnesota is a short drive away! So if you’re a parent who wants to visit their college kids, you are welcome. If you are looking to explore everything that Minneapolis / St. Paul has to offer, our cottages are an equally short ride from the downtown areas of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Enjoy Winter Fest in St. Paul, catch a Twins, Vikings, Wild, United, or Timberwolves game. Allianz Field is about one mile away. Check out a concert at Xcel Energy Center. Walk along the Mississippi. Cross Country ski on beautifully groomed trails. You’ll love exploring the Twin Cities and then coming back to a quiet and comfortable home. Whether you’re in town for a girls/guys weekend, for work, or just to tour two of America’s best cities, our Modern Cozy Getaways will make you feel at home.
